MICHAEL CUMMINGS – CEO
Mr. Cummings has extensive experience in start-ups, managing and operating a geographically diverse multi location business. In 2005 Mr. Cummings founded CTM Investments a management consulting and investment relations firm for private and publicly traded firms, while operating CTM he also was the CEO and Board member of Remote Surveillance Technologies (OTCPK:RSUV) until January 2008. From April 1997 until March 2005 he founded and served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Network Installation Corporation, with offices operating in 5 states. Under his leadership, Network Installation Corporation acquired and consolidated numerous portfolios along the West Coast. He was responsible for implementing a strategic direction involving acquisitions, business integration and sales development while managing overall operations for the company.
Prior to founding Network Installation Corporation, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for what was then the fastest growing communication company in California. There, his areas of expertise included business development (locally and nationally), sales management, sales processes, sales training, customer retention, and marketing initiatives. During his tenure sales revenues increased 35% and the gross profit revenues increased by 5%. He attended Golden West College for Business Law. His interests include coaching Little League Baseball for the past 15 years, traveling and spending time with his wife of 12 years and their 3 boys
RICK BERRY – President
Rick is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. A successful athlete in high school and college. All-State in high school football, (Skyline in Salt Lake City) and twice College All-Conference, (Ricks College). He has coached College Football at Ricks College and Dixie State College. Rick has had an extensive career in sports marketing including positions with L.A. Gear, Cape Athletic and Above the Rim. Rick has and currently serves as General Manager for the St. George Roadrunners of the Golden Baseball League since its inception in 2007. He and his wife have five children
SCOTT MURRAY - General Manager
Scott brings an extensive career in Professional Baseball, he started his career as a catcher for the San Francisco Giants organization in 1987, shortly after that he coached at UC Berkeley for 7 years continuing his career he moved on to be a scout for the Montreal Expos and the Florida Marlins. While residing in Oahu, Hawaii for the past 10 years with his wife and three children, Scott also owns and operates a successful business.
BRETT STEVENS- Director of Marketing
Brett is a native New Yorker. A budding athlete to be was cut short by a severe knee injury. He turned to radio has successful radio shows throughout the country for the past 30 years. Brett has voiced thousands of radio, television and film projects. He was honored to voice and design work for the regional premieres of Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix, Spiderman 3 and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Has performed marketing work for NASCAR, Bon Jovi, Kenny Loggins, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Styx, Five for Fighting, Rick Springfield and more. He is the recipient of 24 Utah Broadcasting Awards. He and his wife have three children.
CASEY CUMMINGS- Account Manager
Casey is a 2nd year student at Goldenwest College located in Southern California and is majoring in Business and Sports Management. This is his first season with a professional sports team and is very excited about working with local businesses on the Island of Maui. Casey is a fan of all sports from baseball to soccer and his favorite teams are Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, San Francisco Forty Niners and Cleveland Cavaliers. Casey hopes to have a long lasting career within the professional sports industry and one day would like to operate his own professional sports team.
JOSHUA JAMES - Assistant General Manager
Joshua James and his family have been on Maui for almost twenty years. They moved when his father began James & Associates accounting firm. Josh is a class of 2001 Baldwin High School graduate. Raised in Kihei, he participated in Lokelani Basketball, Kihei Little League and was an MIL All-star for Swimming and Diving. Joshua was recruited by the University of Utah for spring board and platform diving and participated in two Mountain West Conference Championship meets. Josh is currently working on 2 degrees: Accounting and Business Management. Josh and his wife recently welcomed his first son in March. He joins the Na Koa Ikaika Staff after three years of working for the LAA Angels triple A Affiliate, the Salt Lake Bees.
KATIE BERRY - Executive Office Assistant
Katie is in her 2nd year of college attending Utah Valley University majoring in English Education and Sociology. Katie has been a part of the Golden Baseball League with the St. George Roadrunner’s professional baseball team for three consecutive years and is now thrilled to be working alongside her sports junkie father for Na Koa Ikaika Maui Baseball. Katie loves all sports and was a cheerleader for her local high school and continues to be for all her family and their many sports activities. She also ran track throughout high school and has completed the St. George Marathon. She is excited to be in Maui and hopes to spend every summer at the baseball field.
TRISTEN FREITAS - Office Manager
Tristen is a native Hawaiian, born and raised in the islands. She has previously attended Gonzaga University for a year and now is a 2nd year student at University of Hawaii Maui College. This is her first year working with any professional team and looks forward to continue working in this industry. Tristen likes to spend time with her one year old daughter Kahau and coach softball at St. Anthony High School.
